The Back Liposuction Procedure
On the day of your surgery, you will be guided by Dr. Tirgari and our staff to the operating room. We will place you in a comfortable position and give you a mild sedative to keep you relaxed. Dr. Tirgari will then draw markings on your back before he administers the local anesthesia. Thanks to the use of an effective anesthetic, you will not feel pain or pressure on the treatment area during the insertion of the laser micro-cannulas. These small instruments will be inserted below your skin surface through small incisions.
If you are worried that these will leave unsightly marks in the future, we have excellent news for you: The cannulas we use are very small and you will not need stitches. Dr. Tirgari will melt all the extra fat deposits in the target area by moving the instrument back and forth until all areas are reached. The melted fat will then be suctioned by a suctioning device, leaving you with a more toned and slimmer figure. Recovery from Liposuction of the Back
You may be discouraged to lie on your back for some time after the procedure to minimize discomfort. Mild swelling on the treated area may also ensue one to two days after having the surgery. You will be given some pain medications, as well as home care instructions before you leave our clinic.
Please be reminded that you need to return according to your follow-up schedule so that Dr. Tirgari can make sure that you are healing properly and that you are satisfied with your results. Although the results will be visible right away, the final results will be achieved after the healing process is complete. In some cases, you may be asked to wear surgical dressings to aid in healing and skin tightening post-treatment.
