How Does Juvéderm Work?

The Juvéderm filler is carefully injected into specifically-targeted facial areas, which have been defined by Dr. Tirgari after discussing what you hope to resolve. The treatment is completed in 30 to 40 minutes. Juvéderm provides results that can last from six to twelve months. The hyaluronic acid in Juvéderm provides volume, but is slowly reabsorbed by the body, with retreatment needed to maintain the look.

Is There Any Recovery Time Or Side Effects?

Just like most injectables and dermal fillers, our San Diego Juvéderm doesn't lead to any significant recovery time. Aftercare is minimal, involving applying ice to the treated area or taking anti-swelling, over-the-counter medication to minimize swelling. Mild bruising and swelling are common at the injection sites which can be easily camouflaged with makeup. Any side-effects usually subside within 24 to 48 hours after treatment.

How Long Does Juvéderm Last?

Juvéderm results are immediately visible and continue to improve for several weeks. Touch-up treatments can be performed when the results of the formula reabsorption begin to show. Depending upon the formula, this may be from six months to a year or more.
